WEATHER FORECAST ... PIENZA Sunday, 26/12 mixed rain and snow ... from night to night ...
the fantastic 4 ... Annarosa, Gaetano, Lorella, Maurizio ... do not lose heart and leave anyway, for a weekend under the banner of sport and good food.
(but where to find them out in buckets of meteorologists .... Dash ...? We ran under a great sun ....)
the path was even more amazing ...
it ran fine, just a couple of miles of trails through the fields with sticky mud where we enjoyed like crazy ... (of course depends on your point of view ...)
the rest of the route was on dirt roads corribili perfectly, with a succession of ups and downs, from first to last km.
21.500 km of gravel and dirt roads, with only a few short stretches on tarmac, surrounded by rolling countryside dotted with farmhouses and cypress trees with distant views of the town of Pienza, the starting point and destination, country that kept intact its magic even in the barren as the winter ....
scenarios so beautiful, it was more the moments that you looked at the landscapes, and those where you go, it was a shame to miss those moments, enchantment.
a day of sport in the company other 400 runners from 10 ... and praise ...
thanks to the organizers, no queue to withdraw nor chest, nor for the race package, the path indicated in impeccably beautiful even in the fire place to warm up the chilly ... more
then if we put that in the end we overindulged in a nice restaurant
(meats, pici with wild boar, boil, pecorino cheese with honey, chopped mushrooms, sausages have grilled vegetables, almond biscuits, a creamy nougat, coffee .. .)
what they wanted more from a trip to Pienza ...?
